Divine Radiance Creative Mentorship for Black girls

Divine Radiance is a creative mentorship program designed for Black girls and gender expansive youth in Oakland. Bringing in tools that support emotional wellness, creative expression, professional success, and self-confidence. 

Weekly Creative workshops led by Alie Jones & Evin Glaude will include guest speakers with experiential offerings and holistic healing practices. 

Topics include: Self Awareness, Empathy, Boundaries, Creative Collaboration, Compassionate Communication, Emotional Regulation, and Healthy Relationships.

When: Every Thursday 4:30-6:30pm

Dates: September 17-December 17, 2026

Age Range: 9-12th graders

Location: Chapter 510 & the Dept. of Make / Believe 546 9th St, Oakland

Divine Radiance is a culturally aligned mentorship program designed to support the emotional wellness, creative expression, self-confidence, and professional success of high school-aged Black girls and gender expansive youth in Oakland, CA.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Founder & Program Director: Alie Jones (she/her) is a writer, artist, and Creole mermaid. She is the author of Saltwater Moonshine, a poetry collection that honors her matrilineal Louisiana Creole heritage through poetry, music, and reflections of love.

Alchemy Wellness Coordinator: Evin Glaude (she/they) is your steward in healing & liberation through herbal education & tools, plant-based nourishment. Afro-centric crafts, and culturally expressive arts healing.
