We Believe Writing is an Act of Liberation

IMAGINATE
Space in the room filled with laughter
Stepping into a new chapter
We write our stories
But live our dreams
And believe in all possibilities
Staples hugging paper
Pictures of us replacing the wallpaper
We come together
To create
Educate
And explore
The power contained in our brains
We hold our power
When we hold a pen
When are we with you
There are a room full of grins
We write
Create
And imaginate our dreams
That you help make come true

The Forgotten Secrets
In Jaden Phelps Giles’s debut novel, the year is 7015 and an unknown pathogen has infected half of life on Earth—but the result is magic rather than illness. As Jaden’s cast of characters faces enemy after enemy, they search for four special stones to unveil their forgotten past.Jaden Phelps Giles is the son of Artie Giles and Mary Phelps. Jaden is twelve years old and is in the sixth grade at Westlake Middle School. Jaden feels “stunished” when he writes, which is a word from Jaden's dictionary. He dreams of being alive. His favorite thing to do is watch or hear things that make him laugh. His favorite books are Suee and the Shadow by Ginger Ly and Brave by Svetlana Chmakova. He wants to travel to Tokyo, Hawaii, and Arizona. He lives in Oakland, California. He loves his annoying sister. And he loves his mom and dad.
