Divine Radiance presents D.E.A.R (Drop Everything And READ) a family reading event at Chapter 510 centering Black girls & their families.
This space is designed to bring book lovers and future book lovers together to foster a deeper appreciation for reading and celebrating Black books.
Readers of all ages are welcome!
Free books will be available, courtesy of the Oakland Literacy Coalition, and books by Chapter 510’s youth writers will also be available for purchase at the Dept. of Make / Believe.
Join Divine Radiance for an afternoon of reading together, light music, refreshments, conversation, and opportunities to connect with the Oakland Public Library and their community partner organization Sistah Scifi.
