AUGUST 2022 ISSUE: BOUND BY DESTINY by MIRA SHAH

Bound to Destiny

I’ve seen grace,
a glimpse of another half
never seen but always heard.
Lying in a poppy field
or illuminated by a moonlit night,
proof that the fault in our stars
is our biggest asset.
Proof that we are only as strong
as our weakest link,
which is only as strong as we.
I don't know if I will see grace again,
but I am bound to the destiny
of whatever is to come.
Grace is never lost,
because I will fight for grace,
proof that we just keep fighting.
Proof that all of us can twinkle.
If we are shown in the right light.

Mira Shah, age 12
